Orchestrates the entire FlatImage filesystem layer, managing DwarFS base layers, overlay filesystems (UnionFS/OverlayFS/BWRAP), optional CIOPFS case-folding layer, and janitor cleanup processes. Coordinates mounting, layering, and unmounting of all filesystem components to create the final merged root directory.
